Services

I write copy that has a job to do, usually selling something, sometimes defining how a brand sounds. Below is what that looks like in practice, and the categories I know well enough to write in without a long ramp-up.

What I write

Conversion and direct response

Landing pages, ads, and sales copy written to move a specific number.

Email and lifecycle

Welcome flows, campaigns, and retention copy that earn the open and the click.

Brand voice and messaging

Voice guidelines people can actually use, and the messaging underneath them.

Landing pages

Pages built to keep the promise the ad made and get one thing done.

Facebook and Meta ads

Paid social copy that earns the click and sets up the page it leads to.

LinkedIn ads

B2B paid social written for readers who are gathering evidence, not making the call.

Who I write it for

DTC

Copy for brands selling straight to the customer, where the funnel is the business.

B2B

Copy for long sales cycles, technical products, and buyers who answer to a committee.

CPG

Copy for consumer products competing on a shelf and in a feed at the same time.

Pet

Copy for brands selling to people who don’t think of their dog as a pet.

Ongoing engagements

Most marketing teams don’t have a one-time copy problem. They have a landing page going live next month, a lifecycle program nobody has touched in a year, and a sales deck due Thursday.

I work with a small number of clients on a monthly basis, serving as the writing function for teams that don’t have one in house. That means senior-level copy across your site, email, and campaigns, a defined monthly output, and a standing slot on the calendar so the work never waits on a scoping call.

You get an experienced writer without adding to payroll.

Project work is also available, scoped and quoted individually.

Frequently asked questions

What is conversion copywriting?

Conversion copywriting is copy written to get a specific action: a purchase, a signup, a demo request, a click. It’s built around what the reader needs to believe before they’ll act, rather than around what the company wants to say. The difference from other copy is that it has a number attached to it, and you find out fairly quickly whether it worked.

What’s the difference between a copywriter and a content writer?

A copywriter writes to sell something. A content writer writes to inform or attract an audience, usually through blog posts and articles. The skills overlap, but the jobs are different: copy is measured by whether people act, and content is measured by whether people read. Green Wagon Media does conversion copy, email, and brand voice, not blog content.

How much does copywriting cost?

It depends on the scope and the format. A single ad is a different project than a long-form landing page or a full email flow, and factors like legal review, brand guidelines, and the number of stakeholders all affect the time involved.

Most work is priced by project, so you know the cost before it starts. Ongoing work runs on a monthly basis for a small number of clients. If your procurement or accounting process requires hourly billing, I can work that way too.

How long does it take to write a landing page?

Usually one to two weeks for a first draft, depending on how much background material exists and how quickly questions get answered. Most of that time is the brief rather than the writing. Regulated categories take longer, because copy goes through review cycles before anything is final.

Can you write within our brand guidelines and legal review?

Yes. A lot of my work is in regulated categories, including an FDA-cleared product, where every claim had to survive review. Strict brand voice guidelines, character limits, and required disclosures are constraints I’m used to working inside rather than obstacles to work around.

Do you work with clients outside Indiana?

Yes. I’m based in Plainfield, Indiana, on Eastern time, but Green Wagon Media works remotely with clients across the U.S.

Are you a freelance copywriter or an agency?

Neither, exactly. Green Wagon Media is a one-person studio. You work directly with me, which means no account layer and no junior writer producing the first draft. If you’re searching for freelance copywriting services, that’s effectively what you’re getting, but with a business behind it.
